2018: A Year in Review

Happy New Year from your forging friends at Anderson Shumaker! 2018 has been quite a year for us, and it really shows.

In January, we completed a 26,000 square foot, $15 million expansion. This included a lot of strategic upgrades. For example, we added: 2 charging furnaces, 1 heat treating furnace, a 2500-ton hydraulic forging press, a 300-ton radial ring roller, 2 quench tanks, 3 overhead cranes, and a 10 ton mobile forging manipulator. Because of this, our production capabilities have vastly expanded, and we’ve earned exciting projects and new clients along the way.

Things really took off in June when Anderson Shumaker came under new management. The owners jumped right in, implementing many positive changes. Due to their efforts, we now have additional specialty personnel, upgraded internal technology, and even added a second shift to meet the increased demands of our growing business. It seems like each week there’s another great idea in the works. As a result, we can offer better service and superior products to our customers.

Additionally, Anderson Shumaker launched a newly refreshed website. We worked hard to improve our content and structure so customers can find exactly what they need quickly and easily. Therefore, we updated our graphics, uploaded more photos, and added new technology to make our site highly competitive. We increased our social media presence to highlight the latest Anderson Shumaker news and developments. My favorite part? This new blog, of course!

Lastly in 2018, Anderson Shumaker is celebrating our fourth consecutive record-breaking year. We flew to Japan to explore aerospace advancements. Consequently, we gained new ideas, contacts, and even customers. And, we’re honored to be named as a major industry player by the recent Global Carbon Steel Forgings Industry 2018 Report.

As 2019 approaches, we anticipate celebrating many more milestone achievements.
