What is a Forged Flat Bar?

We start by taking an ingot or bloom and then forge it down to exact customer specifications. This is done on two opposing flat dies on our open die press. Additionally, we can do short runs or high quantity to meet our customers’ needs.

One of our most popular forged products is actually our stainless steel bars. Why stainless steel? The material’s high resistance to oxidation makes it an ideal metal for applications where moisture is present. Additionally, it can withstand extreme temperatures and harsh working conditions. The most commonly used stainless steel grades are: 303, 304, and 440-C. However, we forge in a variety of other stainless grades.
